This painting juxtaposes finely rendered botanicals against an abstract background. In my home state, wildfires rage throughout the summer season. There is destruction and devastation. Fireweed is something beautiful that grows from the ash. If a flower can be compared to a pheonix or a silver lining, it is the elusive fireweed.
